Fusion Maia, Asia’s first ‘all spa inclusive’ resort, is launching eight new wellness retreats running from October 2014 to March 2015. The retreats will offer a comprehensive range of programmes: from mind, body and spirit development to wellness and beauty sessions, fitness and bootcamp workshops to life strategy programmes.
Each retreat is unique and highly personalised, and hosted by a well respected figure in their field. Wellness cuisine menus have been designed to complement each of the retreats offered, and post-stay follow-up support will also be provided.

26 October – 2 November 2014: ‘Revolution Retreat’ hosted by Dr Nadine Cameron
Melbourne-based expert in mindfulness meditation Dr Cameron runs meditation workshops and consults with companies worldwide. Her passion for mediation comes from her own rich experiences with the practice and leads to her belief in its power to relieve stress and lead to clarity of thought, better concentration and enhanced creativity.
2 – 9 November 2014: Discovering Meditation/Strength in Stillness and
9 – 16 November 2014: Body-Mind-Balance Hosted Dr Petra Müller-Rupprecht A General Practitioner specialised in Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy, in her 20 years of practice Müller-Rupprecht has developed a coaching method using tools gained in her study of Eastern and Western Philosophy, Astrology and Shamanism.
23 – 30 November 2014: ‘Flourish & Thrive Yoga’ hosted by Katherine Smith
‘Global nomad’ Smith runs yoga retreats and holidays in inspiring locations worldwide. Her mission is ‘to inspire change in you through yoga, words, nourishment and unchained, unapologetic flourishing fabulousness and fun, so you too can live a luscious, luminous life of plenty’.
30 November – 7 December 2014: ‘It’s Time to Shine’ hosted by Mandy Amos
Originally from Sydney, Amos has enjoyed a colourful background as a professional hair and make-up stylist, business owner, teacher and tour leader. At Fusion Maia she will help guests to shine by learning style fundamentals to create an effortless signature look that reflects and expresses each guest’s authentic self.
7 – 14 December 2014: ‘Best Life Boot Camp’ hosted by Natalie Rivier
Rivier specialises in motivational workshops on health and wellness and has worked for over a decade inspiring healthy lifestyles in clinics, schools, chiropractic clinics, and within the corporate sector as a fitness instructor, nutritional consultant and wellness educator.
11 – 18 January 2014: ‘A Beautiful Life Strategy’ hosted by Bhavini Kalan
Kalan is trained in Sivananda, Ashtanga Vinyasa (Pattabhi Jois) and Kundalini Yoga. Her lifestyle workshops and retreats integrate her yoga teachings with Ayurveda principles in a fusion of the best of Eastern and Western lifestyle thinking.
22 – 29 March 2015: ‘New You: Relax, Explore & Renew’ hosted by Samantha Ridgeway
Following her own voyage of personal discovery, Ridgeway now travels the world transforming lives through her knowledge and ability to teach and guide her students to be healthier and happier. Her method combines yoga, nutrition, chakra balancing and meditation.
The retreats are part of the Natural Living Programme offered at Fusion Maia – a plan that offers simple inspirations for sustainable Natural Living at home via its seven daily themes. From butterfly breathing or star jump walking (Feel Free); ‘mindful apple’ mindfulness sessions or a wellness tea talk (Eat Well) to a lantern ceremony or slow silent walk (Act Mindfully), the resort’s seven Natural Living practices ensure balance and well-being for body, mind and spirit.
